We get to know you by assessing your mountain skills and needs. Then, monitoring mountain and weather conditions we adapt each trip, which is tailored just for you. This means each expedition is different. All we ask is for you to be curious, adventurous and open minded. It doesn’t mean you need to be an athlete, just willing to try new things and experience the extraordinary.
Alpine helicopter Skiing with SwisSkiSafari is all about getting the best of whatever there is – heli-skiing from your charming private chalet or newly renovated Italian hotel, enjoying that perfect meal in a mountain hut, or breaking first tracks in a little known isolated area only minutes from some of the most crowded and famous slopes in Europe.
All this; the best powder skiing in Europe and luxury accommodations combined with stunning helicopter flights over the Alps. These are trips that bring within reach of quite normal skiers an experience of the high mountain environment, which, in its very remoteness, can be intimidating and dangerous if approached without proper guidance.
You may have experienced helicopter skiing in North America, we have a different approach to the mountain from skiers in Canada, where the choppers simply ferry skiers up and down powder slopes. A ski safari in the European Alps can involve short walks to access remote and long runs through valleys, including glacier skiing, tree skiing and crossing national borders – all in one day! When this is combined with a safari style of trip you will find yourself skiing from valley to valley meeting the helicopter at the bottom of one to take you to the top of the next – crossing the Alps skiing from resort to resort. The terrain is so varied and the landscape so wild and spectacular that you can’t do more than a couple of drops a day – sometimes only one! You’ll be experiencing the high alpine environment; we are not selling you just vertical descent, which tends to be the case. High end skiing in Europe is an experience unlike any other.
