Details - Three Valleys, Three Countries.
I’ve skied big landscapes in Alaska and Canada. But the scenery here-ragged peaks piercing deep-blue skies over valleys so green they inspire thoughts of frolicking- makes me entertain fantasies of staying forever - Outside Traveler- USA
- Days 1 & 2
SwitzerlandMeet your guide at your 200-year old hotel high in the Alps and map out your upcoming adventure, before tucking into regional delicacies and sinking into a good night’s sleep in your luxurious mountain hotel.
Arriving by lift to a glacier at 9,000 feet, you’ll marvel at what is considered the world’s most breathtaking mountain panorama: the Dom, the Zinalrothhorn and the Matterhorn. A spectacular narrow valley will take you down towards lunch, but before your fireside feast, you’ll remove your skis and don a head torch for a walk through the mountain and out the other side. This is no ordinary short cut.
- Day 3
SwitzerlandToday you’ll ski the borders of Switzerland, Italy and France at heights of up to 12,500 feet. Follow in the footsteps of Napoleon as you visit an ancient monastery still inhabited today, for tea with the monks. Sounds surreal? Trust us, it’s there, and only reachable by foot. End the day skiing into Italy, and enjoy a late lunch at a small family-run café serving 100 year-old recipes, complete with a charming, effusive Italian host. Sleep in your luxury hotel in the cobbled resort of Courmayeur.
- Day 4 & 5
Italy and the Italy/France borderToday you’ll ski around Mont Blanc with your guides, tackling long descents surrounded by dramatic peaks. After lunch in Courmayeur and a relaxing afternoon on-piste, why not unwind in the thermal spring whirlpools, saunas or Turkish baths?
The last day will be the most spectacular, featuring high altitude, off-piste skiing among the tumbling icefalls and dizzying crevasses of the famous Vallée Blanc. Amazing views, and a unique 27km descent through some of the most unforgettable mountain scenery in the world will be your last memories of this trip. What more could you want?
