SwisSKIsafari

Details - Dolomites ski safari.

  • Days 1, 2 & 3

Wake up to one of the most stunning alpine views in Europe from your exclusive chalet, situated at 1,200 meters: your luxurious base for the week.

After an easy first day settling in, your guides will show you stunning backcountry skiing. Explore white valleys, steep descents, and even a region the Italians compare to a giant Pandoro cake with white sugar icing: a large mound in the middle of the Dolomites which skiers travel over and around using a series of ski lifts. Take adventurous routes away from the busy pistes. At the end of each day, enjoy a steam bath or local ‘tuina’ massage exclusive to your chalet before dinner accompanied by wine from the chalet’s own wine cave.

  • Day 4

Today starts with unparalleled views of the Dolomites at 2,800 metres, before an incredible descent to the valley floor, and ends with a torch lit descent to your chalet below: a spectacular end to a truly superb day of skiing.

  • Day 5

After breakfast, hop on a skidoo and head for the unique peaks of Tre Cime: for many, this is the iconic image of the Dolomites. A flat ski hike and gentle climb through dramatic tree-lined valleys will have you ending up at the tiny town of Sesto Pusteria, recognisable by its towering church spire. This is true, rural Italian village life. End the day back at your base with a massage – go for the local heated honey treatment for true relaxation.

  • Days 6 & 7

Your last two days exploring. Access virgin snow at the highest point of the Dolomites, ski through an ice tunnel with the help of our mountain guides and explore the famous, historic resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Keep your eyes open for Italy’s favourite celebrities in this chic town, and enjoy runs such as the Cristallo from 3,216 meters. After tea in the village, the helicopter will pick you up for a spectacular flight over the Alps to the Marmolada at 3,342 meters and your last descent: five blissful hours following world champion ski runs all the way to the front door of your private chalet.

By night, enjoy a three Michelin-star feast in town, and a traditional Southern Tyrol meal in a refuge at 2,000 metres, which you will reach by jeep and leave by sledge. This is a glamorous mountain adventure like no other.
